In the year 2016, Wipro Consumer Care and Wipro Cares combined their efforts to enable girls from disadvantageous backgrounds to pursue higher education after class 12. This is a recurring annual program and the monetary support is towards the student’s educational and incidental expenses.
This year, the Santoor Scholarship will extend financial support to 1,500 eligible girl students, across the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Chhattisgarh. Besides students inclined towards professional courses, those showing a keen interest in pursuing their higher education in the fields of humanities, liberal arts and sciences are strongly encouraged to apply. Preference is given to students from backward districts.
